SPOILERS! Doctor Who's new companion

Our favorite time traveling lord from Gallifrey will be getting a new companion in Season 7.

The BBC confirmed via the official Doctor Who twitter feed that Matt Smith's Season 7 run on this epic show will have a new companion played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.

 

Jenna most recently had a role in Captain America: The First Avenger and has appeared in several other projects including her role as Jasmine Thomas in the TV series Emmerdale


The Spoilery stuff comes after the jump.


Showrunner Steven Moffat had this to say about Jenna.

"We saw a lot of brilliant actresses. But Jenna was the only person going faster than Matt - he had to keep up!"

The official Twitter stream also brought news of the new seasons run stating that 6 episodes of Season 7 will air this year followed by a Christmas Special to introduce Coleman's character and the remaining 8 episodes to follow after that.

This brings us to the spoiler territory.

Moffat had this to say on the fate our current pair of companions:  

"Amy & Rory will leave in a final encounter with the Weeping Angels in ep 5. Not everyone gets out alive and I mean it this time."

Greeting Geeks, In case you haven't checked it out yet, Nickelodeon has released their new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. As a general disclaimer: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MICHAEL BAY'S TURTLES PROJECT . To put it simply, it's Teen Titans meets Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003). Updated: Question: Should A Cosplayer Be Kicked Out Of PAX East For Doing Her Job?

Day 1 Left, Day 2 Right Just to be clear, Jessica Nigri was asked to leave and change, she was allowed back in... But on day 1 of PAX east, she went dressed as Lollipop Chainsaw's star, Juliet Starling, without issue. Day 2 she went dressed as the same character in one of the multiple alt costumes and asked to leave to change. She returned in the cheerleader uniform from day 1 she was asked to change again, cover up, or leave entirely! Did I mention she was at the WB Games booth and is the official character model for the game? So what's the point of this post? Most of the Grotto staff come from a place in the US where people can go grocery shopping wearing A LOT less than what Nigri had on! Now if she were dressed in one of the alternate costumes from Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball, then I can understand the issue. What do you guys think?
