Greetings Geeks! It's been a long time since I've posted but I'm extremely excited to announce the new Geek Grotto Podcast: Mindless Midlife Musings of the Anime Nerd! The team at Geek-Grotto get together to talk about retro anime from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Get a unique perspective on anime from people who lived in the era. How did we find it? How does it hold up under a modern lens? We unpack the ins and outs of being an old school anime nerd.  Episodes start streaming in March! Available on Apple , Amazon , Spotify , Google , and more !

I saw this story over at Shoryuken, and did it tear at my heart! Osamu Ichikawa is disabled and yet manages to play Street Fighter IV using only his cheek and chin!!! He is asking for a chance to go and compete at EVO in Vegas this year, but doesn't have the funds himself. Even "The Beast", Daigo Umehara is on board trying to set up an event next month to raise funds at Taito Station, a Japanese Arcade. This is just too awesome and funny at the same time! I've got a buddy in the MCPD and he told me this guy's story is actually pretty cool – he's crazy wealthy (off what I don't know), but he apparently goes to hospitals and meets up with sick kids as Batman to brighten their day. The tags were in his backseat because he couldn't get the poor people screws to work on his $800k car. As to why he was still in costume when he got pulled over, the latex suit is apparently not so easy to get in/out of, so he has to do it at home. Unfortunately he did not talk like Christian Bale or reference Commissioner Gordon and the bat signal at any time during the stop." Read the full story at Jalopnik !
