Violence Warnings On Video Games May Harm Free Speech

Image
Politicians are at it again! Under the Baca/Wolf bill, the packaging of video games rated “E” (Everyone), “Everyone 10+” (Everyone 10 and older), “T” (Teen), “M” (Mature), or “A” (Adult) by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) must include a label that reads, “WARNING: Exposure to violent video games has been linked to aggressive behavior.” Only games rated “EC” (Early Childhood) would be exempted from the rule. However, as Higgins points out, there is no conclusive evidence that video games cause players to act violently I thinks politicians should have this warning tattooed to their foreheads.... My feet have made this very clear to me. Until then, stay Geeky fellow Grotto dwellers.
