Kickstarter for The Wonderful 101 Remastered

Image
While I normally don't agree with crowdfunding from established companies and publishers, for this I can make an exception. While they already smashed through their modest goal almost 10x over, this remaster of the Wii U classic is a few dollars away from a PS4 release (strech goal was hit as I typed this) and is already landing on the Switch physically and Steam. There are a few other stretch goals that have yet to be announced. Also one of the rewards is to be "Blocked on Twitter by Kamiya", which can be obtained for free by asking him a stupid question on twitter...or confusing him for someone else on Twitter.... Or asking for a follow up of a game he mail while at another company..... or thanking him on a game he didn't work on.... or just about anything! Either way, many people did not get to play this gem on the Wii U since people hated the Wii U without trying it and this is a great way to rectify that mistake. Wonderful 101 Remastered Kickstarter

Boss Battles For The Soul Out Now!

Image
Last November we posted about a KickStater project from Mark Reichwein, a musician/composer from Japan with a love of 16-bit music. Well, not only did he hit his goal, Boss Battle For the Soul can be purchased now! We had a chance to listen to this digital album and it does sound like it's being pumped out of an SNES! What is fascinating is that this is all original music, composed and styled to fit into some all time classics. Music that sounds like it belongs in titles like Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and more! The best part? Since all stretch goals were met, we have 5 more pieces being released this December!  So, go and support Mark over at Bandcamp Read some words from Mark after the break!

And May The Best Call Win.... And She Did!

And the winner by less than 3%, and the Call I voted for, option F! Granted, E was also a close second, but just didn't feel right to me. So, now to see how Call will interact with Beck in Mighty No. 9! Source: KickStarter

Boss Battles For The Soul

Well, we somehow missed this on KickStarter. Mark Reichwein is making a "Boss Battle" album for some classic SNES titles. The best part? It's all original music! Music that fits the style of games like Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana, and actually sound like they were generated on an SNES! What is awesome is that it is already fully funded, but why stop there? Stretch goals gives us more music!!! So give, as we always need more SNES music in this world! Source: KickStarter
