Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls Opening

Image
While most of the time I prefer a title to remain unchanged when being brought over, sometimes a small tweak helps it just a bit.... Back on subject, The Superdimension series has always visualized the console "wars" in an interesting way, but now Sega "officially" joins the fight! The Sega Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive (Genesis in the US), Saturn and Dreamcast join the cast in this Vita game landing next month.  For now, enjoy the US intro and some screenshots!

Sega Is Buying Index, And Thus Atlus?

Kotaku, via Nikkei, is reporting that Sega is planning on dropping $141 million US to buy Index. We aren't sure what a Sega owned Index would mean for the IP's involved yet. Would Index continue operating the way they are now, or will Sega swallow the company whole? Source: Kotaku

Arc System Works Anncounces Guilty Gear Xrd!!!

Just announced at the Arc System Works Festival. This Unreal Engine Powered fighting game looks AMAZING! Despite being powered by a 3D engine, the game keeps it's 2D character look and feel! To top it off, here's the trailer!!! So far this is Arcade only, which means not many players outside of Japan will probably get to play it until its inevitable home console release. Sony announces price cut for the Playstation Vita & a release date for Phantasy Star Online 2

Image
Today Sony of Japan let loose a pair of somewhat anticipated announcements. Well one more anticipated than the other in my opinion, but you can be the judge of that. So where to begin, hmmm... Alright, well first off Sony announced a price cut for the Playstation Vita system, knocking it down to 19,980 yen, or about $215 American. This is set to take effect on 02/28/2013 and looks to be a flat rate price for the 3G Wifi version and the Standard Wifi version, respectively. Currently there are no price drops mentioned for the US or PAL markets. However, given the current status of the gaming system in these markets, its poor sales, coupled with a severely lacking library, I believe it is only a matter of time before we see the announcement from Sony.

PSA: Sonic CD now available on Windows Phone.

Well, it's a year late compared to the Android and IOS ports, but nothing can stop Sonic once he starts running... Besides mechanical enemies and rocks!  A faithful port that runs great on my lumia 900. $4.99 will give your phone the gift of Sonic for your Windows Phone 7 or 8 device.
