Mighty No 9 Finally OUT!

Image
No, Hell hasn't frozen over! Mighty No 9 is finally out and KickStarter Backers should start receiving their codes from Humble Bundle. There is "some" bad news though... A bug on the Xbox 360 version is delaying the game a few days and the Vita version is still in development (PlayStation version is cross buy between the PS3, PS4 and Vita versions). We are just waiting for the PSN store to update to try out our code! Also, the 3DS version is labeled as "Coming Soon" for all regions and the WiiU version for Australia and Europe as well as the soundtrack are labeled "Coming Really Soon" with the delayed Xbox 360 version. So, after YEARS worth of delays, we finally get the game in hand! The only downside? Some stores broke street date for the physical versions, so some people have been able to play the game for the last couple of days...

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Story Book Trailer

Image
June 7th is so far away for this HD remake of Vanillaware's PS2 classic, but it seems so worth it. Enjoy this new trailer and preorder the game on PS4, PS3 AND PS Vita!!

Mighty Number 9.... Delayed Again.

Image
In something that is finally starting to frustrate me, but has frustrated everyone else LONG ago, Mighty Number 9 will not make it's February Launch date, pushed back to "Spring." As we all know, that means April-June. Now if you just preordered, this isn't much of an issue, but for KickStarters, we are already about a year late (if not more). Current problem is blamed on it's Netcode and the version of the Unreal engine they are using no longer being officially supported. Full message from Keiji Inafune after the break.

Sega Shows Off The International Intro For Dengeki Bunko!

Image
Here we go... Another title we thought wouldn't get a US release due to a TON of licensing will be released this October!! Bringing in characters from various Dengeki Light Novels (and later anime) into a 2D fighting game sounds like a GREAT idea. October is too far away! Full press release after the break

PlayStation Vue, Is It Worth The Effort??

Image
So, Sony's attempt to grab cord cutter is out today. PlayStation Vue has launched in 3 US regions today. What starts as a great idea, streaming live TV with dvr features, quickly turns sour when you see the pricing. For $49-69, depending on the plan you want, gets you the equivalent of basic cable for the same price or more!!! At $30, it would be a perfect compliment to Netflix, Hulu and others, but the prices sony want for a service that ONLY works on the PS3 and PS3 right now seems like a project destined to fail. Where I am, $60 a month would net me a basic cable package with HD that includes more channels. Others may be able to snag basic WITH a premium channel for around the same or less! While the idea is sound, pricing kills it! What do you think?? Source: Sony

NIS America Announces New Games At Anime Expo!

Image
Yeah, I'm a wee bit late with this one. NIS has just announced 3 games at this year's Anime Expo. The Vita will receive htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary and Criminal Girls: Invite Only while the PS3 will get The Awakened Fate Ultimatum! Now, an interesting thing about Criminal Girls... A noticed was placed in the press release saying certain aspects of the game will be edited. This kind of notice 1st popped up earlier this year for Monster Monpiece, and I like the fact that NIS is mentioning this upfront, even if fans of the import will hate the notion that the game will not be uncut.
