Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Released!!

Image
Earlier today, a low resolution trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron was leaked ahead of next week's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We didn't post it as we thought we'd have to constantly fix the links as we expected Disney/Marvel to start issuing take down notices... Well instead, Disney released the FULL trailer themselves in HD! This seems to be a darker movie than the first Avengers movie and we cannot wait!

Someone smack me as I somehow missed this yesterday! A new trailer for Captain America's solo return to the big screen was released by Marvel UK and.....WOW! We get to watch this April 4th 2014, a week later than it's UK release date of March 28th. Uh Marvel, Cap is supposed to embody the spirit of the US of A, so why do WE not get the release 1st???

We Review "From Up On Poppy Hill"

Image
What do we have here? It's our first Video Review! The Geeky Guru is back on camera with Kaiju's first video appearance. From Up On Poppy Hill will be released on September 3rd in the US by GKIDS/Cinedigm. Yes, that is correct, I did not mention Disney as  they are not involved with this release. As a departure from standard Ghibli fair, like "The Wind Rises", this movie is a period piece set in 1963 Japan. As such, it's not a children's film, but more for young adults and older. There is no violence or nudity or anything like that, it's just where the story goes. As being our first video review, please tell us what we can do to make things better.

2013 SDCC: We Interview Rey Jimenez From Capcom About Ducktales

He IS Iron Man!

Image
Well it's confirmed. Robert Downey Jr. has been a busy man. He has not only been in 2 of the top 5 grossing films of all time, but he's just solidified his future as Tony Stark for Marvel AS WELL AS signed a deal with HTC to be their pitch man. I don't know about you, but for a guy who has had a pretty bad run in with addiction and the law, RDJ seems to have really come around. Good for him. Full PR after the jump.

Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H. Trailer

Image
Greetings Geeks, Here is the trailer for the upcoming animated series  Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H. Am the only one who sees this and thinks "Ugh" ? I admittedly love the Hulk more than the next guy, but this has me severely disappointed.

SQUARE ENIX ANNOUNCES NEXT GENERATION DEVELOPMENT OF KINGDOM HEARTS III! IT'S COMING!!!!!

Image
Greetings geeks! Boy do I have news for you! It seems our friends over at Square-Enix have been busy. This is completely out of the blue, but the long-awaited continuation of the Kingdom Hearts saga is coming to a yet-to-be-released PS4 and XBOX1 still months away in the form of "Kingdom Hearts III". Me, being a hardcore KH fan, can only muster one statement: It's about !@#$ing time. Read more and watch the trailer after the jump!

PhotonWaveZero Returns From The Dead: Iron Mache 3 *ehem* Iron Man 3 Review

Image
Greetings geeks and geekettes! Quoting the cleverly narcissistic Tony Stark: "It's good to be back!" I apologize for my rather excessive absence. Life has a way of taking glorious fun time and turning it into detestable suck time (pardon my French). I'm sure everyone here can sympathize with that issue. Anyway, you didn't come here to listen to my nerdy banter, so on with the review!  P.S. My review is very indirect, but may contain *Minor Spoilers*. Read the entire review after the jump!

WTH? Disney Kills LucasArts!

Image
RIP: 1982-2013 Well, another month and another game company gone. This one is a HUGE surprise! Disney, in its infinite wisdom, has Closed down LucasArts and cancelled Star Wars 1313 and First Assault! Not to sure about First Assault, but 1313 was a huge departure from the standard LucasArts Star Wars game. Taking place in the Underworld or the Star Wars Universe, 1313 was an all new game with a great graphics engine pushing it. LucasArts has a long heritage of great games, from Rebel Assault, Grim Fandango, Dark Forces and more! They will be missed... So now that's Stdio Liverpool (Psygnosis), THQ and now this.... And to see what we will never get to play....

Capcom reveals Disney's DuckTales Remastered for WiiU, PS3 and 360

Image
Alright, I am going to seriously mark out here, but that's okay. You know why that's okay? Don't think too hard cause I'm gonna tell you, anyways (like you didn't know that). I am marking out here because Capcom released a video at PAX East this week, and that video was a revealing of an HD remastered release for one of the greatest platformer games of all time, DuckTales for the NES! And it's coming out this summer for the Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360... Boo yeah! Follow the link for more!

Confirmed: Abrams to direct Star Wars Episode VII!

It was a late night confirmation from Disney, but JJ Abrams will direct the new Star Wars Movie!!! In my opinion, Abrams did a FANTASTIC job rebooting Star Trek, and MI:Ghost Protocol was a great movie as well, so I am VERY excited for this! During the Hobbit we were treated to a 9 minute Star Trek: Into Darkness trailer which also looked awesome, so what can Abrams bring to Star Wars? I say everything Lucas failed to bring to the prequels! Read the PR via Aint It Cool News

Greetings Geeks! Disney's latest animated film is Wreck-It Ralph. The tale of a Video Game "Bad Guy" who doesn't want to be a...bad...guy. So how does this latest entry in the Disney stable hold up? Find out my thoughts after the jump.

Avenger's Blu-Ray including a new short film!

Image
Greetings Geeks, I've got some fun information on the new Avenger's Blu-Ray release for you. Call it my gift to you on this 4th of July. First up:  “Item 47” is a 12-minute short sequel to Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers.” It will be included on the Avengers DVD and Blu-ray coming Sept. 25! The short is also expected to be screened at San Diego’s Comic-Con next week. Maximiliano Hernández reprises the role of Agent Sitwell (the bald S.H.I.E.L.D. agent), who is partnered with another agent played by Titus Welliver to track down a pair of humans who have taken to robbing banks after they stumble upon a weapon left behind by the ill-fated attempt to take over the Earth by the Chitauri. The Bonnie and Clyde-like couple, appropriately named Benny and Claire, are played by Lizzy Caplan (New Girl) and Jesse Bradford (Swimfan). Marvel exec Louis D’Esposito directed the short from a screenplay by Eric Pearson. Secondly: Rumors are abound that The "Avengers" Blu-ray will ...
