Will E3 Squash The Rumors of "Non-Backwards Compatible"  Next Gen XBox and PS4 or Squash the Desire of  Current System Holders to Upgrade? A tweet from Kotaku caught my eye,Of course I had to swing over to check this out for myself. The first post I see?   " It's highly unlikely that PS4 or the next Xbox will be backwards compatible. " -Chris Morris @ GamesIndustry Of course much of this is speculation but, Hmmm. Many points claiming everything from the engine used to game play mechanics, including the Mock Up of the PS4 controller. I've heard the grumbling of many customers about the current price and non-backwards play-ability, wishing to buy the 360 or PS3, So I have yet to imagine the new system's price point. But to shell that out and then Have to buy new games for it? Forget the blow to those that resell used games. Ubisoft has found itself in quite the storm of controversy in regards to their intentional decision to push back their once Nintendo Wii U  exclusive game, Rayman Legends. Fans of the game, and Wii U have banded together, all over the internet. Posting everywhere from Facebook and Twitter, to Youtube and The Official Ubisoft forums . To the farthest reaches of the web have these fans reached out, forum after forum as they sound the horns of battle. They are calling upon Ubisoft to release the finished game, as previously promised.

Today on Facebook game developer Ubisoft released the following statement in regards to the intentional push back the once  Wii U exclusive title Rayman Legends . A title that was to be released this month, yet is now slated for a September release in order to make it a multi platform release, instead of a Nintendo  exclusive one. "Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman Legends in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game. We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more."

On January 27th 2013, we  reported that Gamestop had ceased taking pre-orders for Fire Emblem : Awakening by Nintendo , and gave no reason for the stoppage. And no word came from Nintendo, either in regards to the pre-order cease fire. Update after the break!

Today via  Facebook ,  Ubisoft announced a delay for its highly anticipated and up until now ‘soon to be released’  Wii U game,  Rayman Legends !   The game has been pushed back to September 2013 (from its initial release date of 02/26/2013). Follow the break for more!

The Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3will be released as a new game instead of DLC. Kind of reminds me of what happened with Ninja Gaiden Black for the original Xbox.... Same game with upgrades, and a new purchase. If you don't own the regular version though, now is the time! Read More...
