Aniplex USA Acquires Day Break Illusion

Aniplex USA will begin streaming il sole penetra le illusioni , better known as Day Break Illusion later this summer. Prepping For The San Diego Comic Con

Well Geeks, it's crunch time! with 19 days before SDCC, we are finalizing quite a few things! Almost all of our new gear is in hand and scheduling has begun. We can now work independently and still record HD video with clear audio, so hopefully we will have more footage than the previous years!!! More coming soon!!!!

Did Your PS3 Stop Working After Last Week's Update? Sony Has A Fix For You!

Last week Sony released PS3 update 4.45 to the masses. Normally that's not a big deal, unless you were using a self upgraded large drive. Upon release, Sony's forums blew up with people trying to figure out what happened. Sony pulled the update within hours and promised a fix within a week. A week later, and an updated firmware, 4.46, is released with instructions on how to fix your busted PS3. Please note, this "SHOULD" work, but there is no guarantee and you may have to send in your PS3 if it still doesn't work. Read the how to after the break

Micro Review: Jägerbär

What happens when you re-imagine a children's classic as something darker and centered on revenge? No, I'm not talking about something cooked up by American Mcgee, but Jägerbär, based on Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Now in this 13 minute short, Emilia, played by Lacy Hannan, is held captive by 3 German speaking guys. As they leave to go hunting, Emilia escapes from her binds. The following couple of minutes, you see how she goes from a scared captive to a tool of vengeance. From there she prepares for the inevitable return of her captors and their punishment. The short seems to be on the indie circuit right now, showing up at film festivals. At the moment, I am unsure if and when this will be able to be seen by the public outside of festivals, but if you get a chance to watch it, then do it. Now, you may notice the lack of a review score. Simply put, I don't know what to rate it. At 13 minutes with the end credits, it just seems too short for me to score. Watch t

eigoMANGA Is Bringing Vanguard Princess To Anime Expo

As we here prep for the madness that is the San Diego Comic Con, it's easy to forget that Anime Expo is less than two weeks away! eigoMANGA didn't forget as they just announced that you can beat each other up at Digital Manga's booth , #442. Also they will have a panel discussing the future of the game that started off as a one man effort. Too bad we can't attend both AE and SDCC, maybe next year? Read the press release after the jump.

Hayao Miyazaki teases his latest work.

Greetings Geeks, Here is a very short teaser for The Wind Rises. The Wind Rises is animation master Hayao Miyazaki's latest film. It tells the story of Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed the Japanese Zero Fighter planes that were used in World War II. The Wind Rises will open in Japan on July 20th, but no release date has been set for the U.S. yet.
