Review - One for the Money

Image
Greetings Geeks! I know, I know. Katherine Heigl films are hardly "Geek." But sometimes you have to sit through the chick flicks to get to see things like "The Grey." One for the Money is a Katherine Heigl film about a smart and sassy Jersey girl named Stephanie Plum who decides that because she is in financial dire straits, that the life of a Bounty Hunter is for her. She snags up a job at her cousin’s bail bond business and goes to work. Her first mark? An old love interest. Oh yeah, he’s also an Ex-Cop whose on the lam for killing someone. Review - The Artist

Image
Let me start out by saying that “The Artist” is a beautifully written love letter to a by-gone age of film.  Cinema has always loved to look back into its history and throw on the rose colored glasses. But while many films claim to love the past, few are brave enough to completely commit to their passion. Read more after the jump.

Review - The Grey

Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day. That’s “The Grey” in a nutshell. The poem is the plot. It’s the underlying tone of the entire film. And much like Spider-Man, it’s the main characters basic creed.  I recently had a chance to watch The Grey and let me tell you, it’s one of those films that people either loved or didn’t. If you go into it expecting to see a summer popcorn thrill ride, you will be sorely disappointed. Full review after the jump.

UMD Passport will not be available for USA PS VITA Owners

Image
Sony has told Kotaku today that they will not make the UMD Passport program available to US Vita owners. For those who don't know, the UMD Passport program allowed current PSP owners to recieve discounts on games they already own on the PSP. So at the moment, US Vita owners will have to hang on to their PSP's and UMD games if they still want to play them, or shell out the cash to re buy them.. Not nice Sony :( From Kotaku

Review - The Fades

Image
The Fades is an imaginative Thriller that makes you think about what would happen in the afterlife. Would you ascend to heaven or would you be trapped on earth? Would it matter if you were good or evil? To quote character Neil: “Death is random, same as life is.”
