Image
The DS716+ and DS214+ So, we have had a DS716+ in house for a few months now, and unlike other reviews focusing on technical specs and whatnot, we will be reviewing this NAS from a standard consumer point of view and comparing it to the 2014 DS214+. So if you want to see transfer speeds and network overhead info and more.... you won't find it here. If you want to know how your media consumption, or sharing to your phone from another location will work or if it's any better than your old NAS, then read on!

Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls Opening

Image
While most of the time I prefer a title to remain unchanged when being brought over, sometimes a small tweak helps it just a bit.... Back on subject, The Superdimension series has always visualized the console "wars" in an interesting way, but now Sega "officially" joins the fight! The Sega Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive (Genesis in the US), Saturn and Dreamcast join the cast in this Vita game landing next month.  For now, enjoy the US intro and some screenshots!

A Win Win For Anime Fans? Crunchyroll and Funimation Working Together?

Image
In news that literally came out of left field today, Crunchyroll and Funimation have partnered up for what could be the best thing for anime fans in recent history. As of TODAY, all of Funimation's subbed simulcasts will be streaming on Crunchyroll, and all of Crunchyroll's subbed titles will make their way to Funimation Now, Funimation's streaming service. Now, this isn't all happening overnight, but the endgame is that Funimation will be streaming dubbed anime with Crunchyroll handling subtitled anime. This is GREAT, as now you do not have to sign up for both services if you want only subbed or dubbed anime. Now to see if Neon Alley, Daisuki (which does license some title to both both Crunchyroll and Funimation), Amazon and Netflix to work together for the greater anime good... A guy can dream. Read up and find out more from Crunchyroll and Funimation and they both have FAQ's up for you all to catch up on.

Quick Review Of The IDrive One 1TB WiFi HDD

Image
So a few weeks back, Cnet had posted a promotion for IDrive that included a year of service AND a 1TB WIFI USB 3 HDD for $34.50. Well, already using a similar device, a Seagate Satellite 500GB (1st revision), I figured I'd try it out. While ordering was quick and easy, everything else was.... silent at best.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Anniversary Update First Impressions

Image
TL;DR – It is very good! The UX isn’t perfect, but it is getting there. I’ve never used a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL before. I ordered the 950 XL because my current 1520 has become a mostly unusable nightmare. Phantom touches galore made it one of the most frustrating UX I’ve ever had the terror of using. I understand it was the hardware. So I tried to keep an open mind. Based on Windows 10:AU’s performance on my 1520, I figured that the 950 XL couldn’t possibly be worse…could it?

Mighty No 9 Finally OUT!

Image
No, Hell hasn't frozen over! Mighty No 9 is finally out and KickStarter Backers should start receiving their codes from Humble Bundle. There is "some" bad news though... A bug on the Xbox 360 version is delaying the game a few days and the Vita version is still in development (PlayStation version is cross buy between the PS3, PS4 and Vita versions). We are just waiting for the PSN store to update to try out our code! Also, the 3DS version is labeled as "Coming Soon" for all regions and the WiiU version for Australia and Europe as well as the soundtrack are labeled "Coming Really Soon" with the delayed Xbox 360 version. So, after YEARS worth of delays, we finally get the game in hand! The only downside? Some stores broke street date for the physical versions, so some people have been able to play the game for the last couple of days...
